The TechnoTeachers Association will be holding their annual conference this year in Limerick on Friday 11th and Saturday 12th of Oct. in the Strand Hotel. This is our 18th conference and coincides with the 30th anniversary of the graduation of the first cohort of teachers from the then Thomond College. There will be demonstrations, talks, trade stands and distribution of resources. We will also have student project work on display with an emphasis on D.C.G.
The registration for the conference commences on Friday the 11th at 5:30, where viewing of trade stands and workshops for delegates will be open. That evening Mr John Walsh from made.ie will speak about “The relationship between Deigning and Making, and Creative Design Processes that could be used in Second Level Education.”
On Saturday the conference will commence at 10:00 a.m with viewing of trade stands and workshops continuing throughout the day.
As with other years resources have been developed for all delegates who attend on the day, SolidWorks models and worksheets for the 2013 Technical Graphics papers are available, depth gauge for the first 100 delegates who register, passive house construction teaching pack and posters.
We hope to see a good gathering for the event again this year.
